Legion Expanding Services With New Telecom Division

The Legion team is excited to announce movement into a new division. The firm's Director of Operations discussed this expansion, and the resulting need for a hiring push.

“It’s an amazing time for Legion,” said Alon, the company’s Director of Operations. “I’ve had the telecom industry in my sights for quite some time, and it’s a huge accomplishment for us to extend our marketing expertise to the promotion of these services.”

Alon now predicts a rapid rise in demand for Legion’s dynamic outreach campaigns, as well as a need to establish presence in new regions. To ensure that the team continues to provide unforgettable brand experiences and deliver guaranteed, measurable returns, the Director and his fellow leaders have launched a hiring initiative.

"The addition of the telecom sector couldn't have come at a better time,"

“The addition of the telecom sector couldn’t have come at a better time,” stated Alon. “It’s the perfect season for recruitment on college campuses, with graduation right around the corner. I have no doubt we’ll have a deep pool of talented and ambitious individuals who are eager to learn and grow with us. My goal is to build a quality team that can handle this type of branding and lead successful campaigns.”

According to Alon, Legion is full of opportunities for creative, goal-oriented people to build satisfying careers. The firm’s culture is challenging yet supportive, and inspiring yet focused. Leadership offers one-on-one coaching to all new hires, with special emphasis during periods of intense training. Also among the various perks of working at this company are merit-based advancement options. Associates are promoted once they demonstrate the skills and knowledge needed to do so.

Legion Director of Operations Recommends Screening for Soft Skills When Hiring

“In my time as a business leader at Legion, I’ve learned that soft skills are just as important to consider as technical skills when making hiring decisions – if not more so,” Alon continued. “The trouble is that soft skills are more difficult to assess in an interview. Luckily, I’ve come across two questions in particular that really shed a lot of light in this area.”

When interviewing, Alon asks candidates to discuss occasions in which they worked as members of teams. The responses to this inquiry tell him about the interviewees’ collaborative abilities, which should include leadership and initiative. He also asks to hear about situations in which the candidates had to request help. The Director explained that all potential team members should have the self-awareness to know when they need help, as well as the humility to ask for it.

“I urge hiring managers to pose these questions when onboarding,” Alon concluded. “They’ve never failed me, and they’re sure to come up during the next round of interviews for the telecom division!”
